Frost, over the past months, had found himself in a strange new land. Instinctually, the light-blue wolf had always preferred North to any cardinal direction due to the climate that usually existed in such a place. The journey he was on was one of self-reflection and indirection. Though he left the group of wolves he'd called home without incident, it wasn't without consequence to the male. He missed his parents and the few close friends he'd made during his formative years. Yet as traumatizing as that ordeal had been, the opportunity to explore other worlds was a breathtaking opportunity. He found himself high in the mountains, surrounded by his natural element. The bitter cold was something he was accustomed to. In simple terms, it just felt right. Though such an affinity was perhaps the reason for his banishment, his love of snow and the cold, wintry weather didn't falter. The cold was unapologetic, uncaring. Thus, he expected nothing resembling remorse from it, as crazy as such an expectation of an inanimate reality might sound.
The icy-blue-coated wolf trudged through the deep inclines of the mountainous terrain, looking for nothing in particular. His gaze briefly shifted to the valley below. It was a beautiful valley which could not have existed in the absence of the ice and cold from above. That very valley had provided him ample sustenance hours before which ensured he retained the energy to explore the icy peaks. He'd chosen to toil in these lands because his instincts had led him to believe that the lands immediately south were controlled by a pack. Farther North, where he'd found himself for some months, seemed to be devoid of much wolf activity and thus he presumed he was not trespassing on anyone's domain. Though as presumption was an enemy of caution, Frost did not let his guard down. It was perhaps a greater struggle than one might appreciate, as there was much that demanded his attention. He had never seen a place quite so staggeringly beautiful.
The male continued on up and around the mountains, ascending vertically when possible but regularly being forced to continue on horizontally due to impossible slopes. Why was he doing it? Simply to wander. It didn't get much more complicated than that. He stopped and examined below him at one point, his black-furred “socks” were almost fully sunk into the snow below. The cold seemed to just not effect him as much as one might expect. He ventured another glance at the lush valley below before slowly continuing on.

It was cold, freezing cold. Snow buried itself within the pads of his paws, fur clumping uncomfortably and making him waddle a little. Why on earth did he come here? Surely this place was not one he would have come to before, it was far too cold! Even his thick fur did little to keep him warm, the lack of meat on the wolf made this place even worse, half wishing he had eaten himself to be several more pounds for insulation. The ground here was slippery and many times he stumbled, or plunged face first into the frosty snow, muttering to himself about nothing in particular as he trudged along, not exactly sure what he was looking for. Perhaps a way out...
Ciel continue on his way along the upper part of some kind of snow hill, maybe a mountain, though it was hard to tell. Everything looked the same here. Well, maybe not everything. Below him, a very long way, was a valley of sorts. Full of what he thought was more snow, and perhaps frozen water bodies. Surely it wouldn't be as cold there though, right? And surely that valley lead somewhere. But how would he get down if he did go? There had to be a way! Now, if only he had wings, then he could just fly down! Or even out of this frozen land! But alas, he sighed, he had no such things, and instead had to walk through all this snow. Maybe it would be easier to turn around and go back?
Taking a bad step, Ciel let out a whail and watched in sheer terror as he slid down the mountain/hill whatever it was side, looking something like a small snow plow. After just a few seconds, he shut his eyes as snow splashed into his face, simply praying to the gods that he didn't wind up dead, or injured from this death ride. How fast he was going, he had no idea, but it seemed to last forever until finally he hit something, flying a good few feet into the air before landing back down, for once glad that the snow was so soft. Standing up and shaking himself off, the canine opened his eyes, finding himself not more than 30 feet in front of another wolf, hardly visible if it weren't for the blue sheen of his coat. He blinked to make sure he wasn't just seeing things, standing there awkwardly.
OOC: Sorry it's so poor. My muse is pitiful today, been a long day. Hope you can work with this!

Frost had been entranced and captivated by his thoughts as he systematically made his way through the snowy heights. Though it was mostly business as usual, there were occasions on which the male gritted his teeth as he pressed forward, the might of nature ever present as it resisted his movements. Despite his singular focus and his seemingly pointless mission, Frost remained ever vigilant in the strange land. Thus, Frost's ears pricked forward when he heard a faint sliding sound followed by something of a crash. There was a pause after that as he seemed to notice a streak of color that deeply contrasted the snow zip across his field of view. The entire ordeal seemed to be punctuated by a final thud on the snow as that colorful, purple-ish streak stopped its movement and seemed to collect itself in one area, as though it was indeed a physical form and not simply a light of some description.
Frost was hesitant at first, yet he was also anxious and eager to see what exactly was going on. With great care, the ice-blue male stepped forward with careful paws. Since he was used to snowy areas and snowstorms, Frost had a somewhat appreciable ability to discern objects through such inclement weather. Thus, he quickly realized that, as he had begun to expect, the form was a living creature - a wolf no less. The wolf seemed to stand there quietly, watching Frost without so much as a movement, though the wolf looked a bit uncomfortable.
Frost quickly assessed the situation and determined that there was no immediate threat to speak of, as the wolf seemed calm enough, and most certainly disoriented. The icy-blue male took a moment to examine the surrounding snow, which seemed to tell the story of the ordeal that had taken place moments ago. With his dark-blue eyes, he followed the indentations at the higher altitude that suggested the wolf had slid downhill a way's before being launched briefly into the air. The tale etched in the snow seemed to explain perfectly what he had witnessed, punctuated by the wolf-shaped form where the purple-ish mass had landed after briefly being suspended in the air.
"Curious." Frost mused. "It would be prudent to blame the snow for your mishap, yet it is also the snow that protected you from injury." he mused with a brief smile to complement the realization.
Frost probably seemed pretty happy with himself at that moment, having made his proclamation about the duality of the snow's impact on the wolf in front of him. As his eyes wandered to the curiously colored wolf, Frost's eyes widened and pricked his ears forward, having forgotten that there was a living, breathing being in front of him.
"...Provided, of course, you are in fact free of injury..." he afforded a very brief, awkward chuckle as he realized his initial words might have come across as, well, odd.
(OOC: No worries at all, there was plenty of material to reply to.)

Like the other canine, Ciel was hesitant by being approached. This was uncharted lands to him, and it really wasn't his element. He was cold, uncomfortable, not very sure-footed, and for all he knew, dead meat. Was this wolf part of a pack? He had heard of one living more to the south, but were there others owning this land? He hadn't smelt anything on his way here, so he was safe, right? He remained standing there as the other came closer, his ears perking forward to listen to him speak."Actually, I think it was my feet that caused my mishap, as much as I would like to blame this cold, white icky stuff." Ciel muttered in reply to the wolf, looking down a little bashfully. "I think I'm alright though, lets check!" Still standing, the male pranced in place a little bit, careful not to fall more while testing his limbs for any injury. Everything seemed just fine, minus being a little sore, mostly from the few feet of air, he gathered. Pleased with the results, he shifted pink eyes back to the other wolf, tail flicking as if checking that it was okay, too. "Everything seems to check out! Little sore, but, hey. I just fell gods know how far down a hillside. Could have been worse!" He shook the rest of the snow off his fur, or as much as he could, regaining a good amount of his colour after looking much like the terrain itself. He took no notice to the chuckle the wolf gave, instead bowing his head a little and acting like his usual self, something the day had been slowly draining out of him. "Sorry if I startled you. It's uh, not exactly like I meant to fall all the way here. But if I did, I'd definitely chose the same place! I haven't seen another living-not-food being in what feels like forever! My name is Ciel, pleasure to meet you!" His stance was calm, tail down and lightly swaying, ears up and his posture relaxed, hoping that the other wolf wasn't hostile, though by his reply, the male figured he wasn't. Who would laugh before attacking someone? Unless it was an evil laugh. Bwahaha! He thought, making himself grin faintly. Now, he wondered, does this wolf know the way out? He looked up to see the long trail he had made on his way down, wondering just how he was supposed to get up there again if by chance that was the way out.

Frost recoiled slightly as the stranger in front of him spoke. It had been some time since his ears had been treated to intelligent vocalizations - words - that were not distinctly his own. As a general introvert, Frost was initially off-put by the wolf's seemingly cheerful and enthusiastic attitude, but the initial aversion to it had withered away rather rapidly. After all, if one was presented with the options of running into a hostile wolf vs. a seemingly friendly wolf, was it really an option at all? The comment about the snow appeared to suggest dissatisfaction, but it was no matter. Frost was keenly aware that most creatures lacked the love of the snow that he possessed, and long ago he accepted that they usually had a good reason for doing so.
As colorful male in front of him examined himself for injuries, Frost considered his appearance. Though covered in snow, his colors were striking and unlike anything the male had every seen before. The off-purple and somewhat pinkish coat was the definition of unique and striking, especially as he realized the purple was complemented with various other colors as the fleeting light of the sun reflected off his fur. The last thing Frost noted before the male spoke again was that he seemed to have quite a thick coat.
Frost nodded in approval as Ciel assured him that there had been no damage besides soreness. It almost wasn't worth mentioning, as a wolf was always sore. At least, Frost certainly was. He willfully exerted himself more than necessary at regular intervals, so it was clearly no one's fault but his own. His attention was re-centered on the purple male as he offered an apology and introduced himself, appearing to be happy to have stumbled upon another wolf, much as Frost was. The two, incidentally, were also in a very similar predicament in that neither had seen another living, intelligent being for quite some time.
"It's quite alright, Ciel." Frost bowed his head calmly. "Fate probably knows better than I do that too much time spent without intelligent contact is not a good thing, and decided to put a timely stop to it, lest I become too fond of solitude." he said in a warm, playful regard as though he regarded fate as an old friend to be teased now and again.
Frost watched the calm Ciel and watched his tail as though it was something of a pendulum, leading the male to initially forget that he hadn't introduced himself. After a moment, he realigned his composure and looked at Ciel again.
"I am Frost, and it is likewise a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Frost briefly raised his right paw in something of a greeting, exposing the black-colored portion of his foreleg to be contrasted by the snow.
"I suspect you aren't here to chase me off, and I presume you suspect the same of me." Frost ventured something of an educated guess after having seen the wolf's mannerisms and body language. His head was titled to the side in a curious fashion; his tone a hopeful one.

The male stood patiently with his sharp eyes on the other, his dark ears pointed forward to catch the wolves voice as he spoke, quite amused by the way he talked. He spoke as if everything was an acquaintance, and in a fond way it seemed, no matter what he said. This partially lead Ciel to believe that perhaps this wolf had been alone for too long, though none of that mattered. He could get along with just about anyone, and friends were better than foes any day! "Solitude can have its perks, but it's nothing like having someone to discuss the day with." The wolf replied with, shaking off again. Standing still was getting to him, the chill sinking in deeper. Soon, he' ask the other if he wished to continue to wherever he was going, but until then, he was keen on learning a little more about this white-blue wolf.
A faint grin crossed the canines maw as the other male watched his tail, not changing pace, or acting like anything was out of place, instead simply letting the other enjoy himself for the time being, not judging what so ever. After all, who was he to judge when he might have done the same thing at one point? He snapped back from thought as the other replied with his name, the males tail beginning to wag the slightest bit in excitement as the wolf, now known as Frost, lifted his paw. Upon closer inspection, Ciel was imperceptibly intrigued, noticing that the paws of the otherwise white and blue (At least what he could see) were black. 'What a strange contrast' he thought, lifting a paw of his own to match the gesture.
"Correct, I have no intention of running you off. I'm actually very happy to see another wolf! And I've come to the conclusion that you're about the same." Ciel answered, his eyes watching Frosts head tilt. "Would you care to continue on this way? Despite having thick fur, I'm not really built for the snow.."

Frost gazed at the valley thoughtfully after Ciel had qualified companionship over solitude. The reality was he didn't quite agree with that assessment in a general sense, but he couldn't disagree with the male in his immediate situation. He'd simply gone too long without interaction, it was indeed true. Frost was still mesmerized by the sharp contrast of the beautiful valley below that it was enough to keep his attention away from the living wolf in front of him for an inordinate amount of time. Perhaps that tinge of anti-social behavior was brought upon by the very solitude that he'd experienced too much of lately. It seemed especially bad since they were also engaged in something of a conversation as well.
As Ciel lifted his paw from the snow in something of a reciprocal gesture, the movement caught Frost's eye and he was quickly made aware of Ciel once more, his eyes shifting almost apologetically in an embarrassed manner. Frost refocused onto the purple male as he spoke once more, confirming Frost's suspicions about neither wolf having ill intent. A weight was lifted off of Frost at that moment as his eyes conveyed a certain relief as well as positive energy. A brief flash of confusion came across the male as Ciel seemingly asked to head downward. There was a lapse in Frost's enthusiastic eyes at that point, but not much.
"I understand." he said simply, nodding once more. "I forget, at times, that many do not share my love of this particular weather." he chuckled a bit, more pronounced than before.
Mid-way through the chuckle, Frost systematically plucked his sinking paws from the snow, ending with the one he'd raised some short minutes ago. It occurred to him that he hadn't really answered Ciel's question, but rather his actions seemed to answer it. Frost seemed poised to charge down the mountain, but contained himself while he waited for Ciel.
"I'd be happy to explore farther down the mountain." Frost answered belatedly. "The harshness of the climate upon this mountain gives life to the lush valley below." he mused as he stuck his nose up into the sky to breathe deeply the icy air.

Ciel patiently waited on the other, not too sure what to make of the wolf quite yet. He seemed easily distracted, much like a pup, but he couldn't have been too far in age from Ciel himself. He seemed quite content with solitude, which was common with loners, he had found. Most meetings lasted not more than a day in his experience, and often far less. Whilst wolves were a social animal, it needed conditions, and those, loners didn't quite meet. He himself was picky about company, liking to meet people, but when they could provide him no information, he was usually quick to move on. After all, one can't sit still when on a life journey. His thoughts were broken as the wolf looked back, giving a sort of lop sided smile to show he wasn't upset. He watched the other carefully to try and get a better understanding of his new part-time companion, flicking a bit of snow from his tail meanwhile.
"My apologies, we don't have to specifically go down there, but it seems a decent spot to fill up and rest a little. My fur is thick, but not freeze proof." He gave a sort of weak laugh, shaking out said pelt to try and get a little more snow off, still showing after effects of his fall. As Frost brought up his paws, Ciel wandered a bit closer to the other with smooth, long strides, looking down the way they would go into the valley and listening to the description with relaxed ears. It seemed a nice spot to take a break out of the harsh weather here, giving a slow nod of acknowledgement. With careful, calculated steps (At least as much as he could, seeing only white) he set off slightly in front of Frost, trying not to move too fast with his long legs.
"So, what brings you here?" His tone was curious and he glanced back, starting small talk, not sure if the other was interested or not, but giving it a shot.

Frost listened intently to the purple male as he spoke once again. Rest indeed sounded good, for traversing the deep snow often led to a rather speedy exhaustion. At the mention of filling up, Frost's stomach gave a low, almost inaudible growl despite him having a meal not long ago.
"Rest does sound good, in fact. As does filling up. Perhaps not traveling alone lends itself to some speculation about the possibility of finding something more substantial to hunt and eat..." Frost trailed off slightly, almost salivating at the thought of a good meal.
The thought was more appealing than Frost would willingly admit. His usual diet of fish was just fine, but a little variety never hurt. Especially considering the most substantive things a loner could hunt by his lonesome amounted to little more than squirrels and other rodents. That train of thought hadn't lasted long though as he suddenly realized Ciel had charged on ahead and was now looking back at him.
What brought him here? The words rang through his head several times. Frost must have looked dumbfounded at that point as he considered a response. What brought him there specifically as opposed to somewhere else? Or what caused him to be a wanderer?
"It is hard to say." he admitted, fully aware that his response was wholly inadequate. "I'm a loner - a wanderer, as you probably guessed. I suppose I wouldn't be either of those if I wasn't exiled from my home pa...well, group." his tone deteriorated to something of a regretful grumble as he spoke the last few words.
Frost looked up into the sky thoughtfully, recalling his home as not being so much of a pack, but rather a loose association of wolves...A loose association prone to hysteria and rash decisions.
"Perhaps you might know - having an uncommon appearance can be...troublesome." Frost finished, wondering if Ciel's unique colorations have ever caused him grief.

Ciel was quite hungry, it had been a while of adventuring, and he hadn't had too much to eat since he was here. It seemed the wild life blended in, and liked to stay out of the cold, only able to catch the odd rabbit here and there. But what kind of game would they find down in the valley? Fish perhaps? He wondered, fixing his attention on Frost as he answered, shaking a paw free of a clump of snow.
"Personally, big game is rather easy for me to hunt alone. But it would be a pleasure hunting with you! Do you know what we might find down there?" Looking back, Ciel glanced upon the other as his previous question seemed to take him off guard, pausing his steps a moment and waiting, slightly confused. He blinked as he was answered to by an "It is hard to say" comment, glad that the answer was being elaborated on, not having the slightest idea what to say before hand. And even less as Frost finished. Awkwardness and guilt made him stumble in the snow a little, wishing now that he hadn't brought it up at all.
"I'm sorry to hear. I don't really know much about that feeling, honestly. So I can't say I really relate, or know how you feel." Ciel turned back to face the valley, taking careful steps forward as he thought of what to say next. "I've had little trouble with my appearance. I've only met a few loners, and before that... I don't know where I was, or how people treated me. I could have been exiled for all I know." He gave a chuckle at the thought, imaging himself as some bully, or hard to control pup. Was it possible?

Frost's eyes widened in surprise as Ceil claimed that hunting big game was easy. It had always been a struggle for him as well as those around him when he used to be part of a group. Though he had to consider. Did he ever give it his all or did he simply resign himself to the impossibility of it and it thus became impossible? His considerations shifted as he realized Frost had asked him about something, noting the enthusiasm.
"I am a stranger to these lands, so my curiosity is as unsated as yours. Though I hope we will find something that will keep me full for a number of days." he chuckled lightly. "Having to hunt small game frequently is...tedious." he happily replied. Perhaps the tone was strange considering he was talking about something annoying, but the mere fact that he could just share his words with someone was a good feeling.
As Ciel seemingly denied ever really being singled out for his appearance, Frost felt genuinely surprised. The purple-ish male just looked so different that he had assumed it would have worked to his disadvantage. Not so? Ciel's next words kept him from dwelling much on the thought. The wolf in front of him didn't seem to remember his past to some extent.
"Perhaps I've become so set in my ways that I assume everyone has endured experiences similar to mine." he said, clearly displeased with some of his acquired habits of late. "And perhaps wolves are not quite as judgmental in strange lands such as this, so far away from home..." he briefly looked to the sky as he trailed off, thinking of the far-off land and being taken back to good, if difficult, times.
Yet again though, the interesting nature of the seeming galaxy-clad wolf known as Ciel seemed to restore his attention to the present. Questions, there were questions to be asked. This wolf did not recall his past? Had something happened to him? Or perhaps Frost had mistaken his age?
"Apologies, Ciel, but...you've forgotten these things?" Frost asked, being careful with his words as he didn't want to offend the male if something had happened or if it was a sensitive topic.
Frost had stopped briefly, but found motion to be a remedy as he waited in anticipation, so he continued on behind Ciel. Presumption seemed to show itself to be another side-effect of being alone for so long, and he did not want to subject Ciel to those afflictions again as he had previously.
(OoC: Sorry for the delay on this reply!)

He caught the eye widening look on the others face and watched from the corner of his eye as the other thought it through, seeming to come to a conclusion, and answer his question. Ciel listened as he padded through the cold snow, shaking his paws out after every ten or so steps, keeping them un-clumped best he could. Ciel pondered for a moment on the idea of only hunting small animals; sure he liked rabbit and fish, and usually they kept him fed for a while, but there was nothing like the savoury taste of large game. "It's not difficult for me. I'm blessed with Illusion magic, so I can easily lock something down and kill it. What kind of deer will run into a crowd of other wolves when it's cornered? I do enjoy fish commonly though, it might be one of my favourites, depending on type." He finished the thought by licking his maw, regretting the action immediately as the moisture brought in more cold, imagining himself looking something like a wolf-popsicle.
As he listened, he deducted several things about this wolf. One was that he was an outcast, apparently for how he looked. Which wasn't that strange, in Ciels mind. However, he did know that black sheep stood out in the flock of white, so maybe it was similar with wolf packs. Two, was that he wasn't close to home, and had probably been a loner for quite some time. Lastly, that he had a large appetite, and Ciel was glad to oblige, as he felt the gnawing pains of hunger in his belly. His attention was brought back by Frosts voice, turning his head to gaze at the other.
"You would be correct. My pup years are lost on me, as are some of my young adult ones. That's partially the reason I'm here, although judging by how these temperatures and terrain are treating me, I think it's a safe assumption that my past wasn't spent here." He let his words sink in for a moment before continuing, his tone unchanged, still friendly and unbugged. "I don't recall what happen, but I woke up one day alone, with little knowledge of my life. I remembered how to use my magic, and how to hunt, the basics, really. Now I'm a loner, on a life quest to find out where I came from, and what happened to me." He chuckled softly, adding in a last bit. "Which, clearly didn't involve snow."
ooc: No worries!

Frost was taken aback my Ciel's mention of magic. The mere nonchalance by which he spoke of the topic was cause enough for surprise, but the assertion that he himself possessed those powers? Frost watched the galaxy-clad male with a gaze of awe as they continued on down the mountain. While Ciel considered Frost's past, Frost tried to register the implications of the wolf in front of him being a wielder of magic. The ice-blue male was silent. The look he returned to Ciel as the male looked back was one of confusion and curiosity; and not to mention consideration. The stories of great wolves that wielded magic were, perhaps even if taken literally, still stories. He had always heard tell of such magic-wielders in distant times. Had he believed? Maybe. Had he expected to ever meet a wolf that possessed the power? That was quite another question.
He shook his head in surprise as vocalizations reach his ears. If Ciel seemed mysterious before, he didn't know how to further describe the male after having heard of his history. Or what Ciel could remember, at any rate. Again he brought up the magic bit, friendly and unassuming as ever. While Frost's responses had manifested themselves as thoughts and body language before, he could scarcely hold himself back from talking any longer.
"Magic..." Frost spoke, the gravity of his tone couldn't be mistaken. "...Ciel..." the ice-blue male slowed to a stop.
"Magic users..." he couldn't find his words. "The stories that the elders told...I-" he resolved to look away in embarrassment, for he seldom ever became tongue tied.
"I did not know magic was real. I had assumed tales were tales..." he reconstituted himself, though the awe in his tone remained. "But you..."
Frost was so engrossed in his thoughts that he wasn't of a mind to appreciate the fact that his words could come off as stupid, perhaps even insulting. Worthy of note was that Frost didn't question the colorful male's sincerity at all. In fact he fully believed his words for some, perhaps unjustifiable, reason. Something in the galaxy male's words and tone seemed to affirm it. Frost's trust, if it could be called that, was easily conveyed through his own words. There was no skepticism to be had. Was he gullible? Was he plain ignorant to trust the words of a stranger? Regardless, he did. It didn't even occur to the male to ask for a demonstration.

Ciel slipped and slide every few steps in the snow, his paws caked with ice and snow, even after shaking them off every few steps. If he wasn't sure that it was helping, he wouldn't have bothered continuing to do it. Wolfsicle feet weren't on his list of a good time though. Despite his sliding, his pace was pretty steady, wanting to get out of the immediate cold, and down into the valley, where hopefully they could catch some kind of meal and take a break out of the chilly wind that tossed around his long fur, often making him swivel his ears back as to not get a cold gust in them. When he heard the steps behind him stop and his name said, he stopped himself and turned his body slightly to face Frost, head tilted as he took in the awe filled expression on his face. His expression changed to something more curious, listening to the other stumble over words. Was this wolf not familiar with Magic?
As frost looked aside, Ciel shook off his pelt a little, following with his paws. While pausing wasn't in his own interest, clearly this wolf had something on his mind, and polite as he was, he waited it out. Finally, Frost explained the situation, confirming his thoughts about not knowing. Suddenly, Ciel staggered but remained standing, his eyes widening as a thought came full force into his head. Something he didn't know in this life, but in his pup life. He regained his composition and tossed around his tail a moment kind of randomly, his voice cool and collected."If you would like to keep going, I can tell you more about it. There are some things I remember about how magic is acquired, though I'm afraid I don't know all that much. I can show you when we get to the valley as well if you'd like, but not right now. It takes a bit of energy to pull off, and I don't have a whole lot of that left after trekking through all this snow."

It went without saying that the cold was Frost's natural element. It simply did not deter nor negatively impact him. The same wasn't so for Ciel, as the case seemed to be. Frost watched the male struggle in the snow and thought back to his previous words about the issue. Words that had perhaps gone through one furry ear and out the other thanks to the mention of magic in the same breath. Ciel certainly seemed uncomfortable there, and Frost quickly felt guilty for again holding up their journey. Oddly, Ciel at one point seemed to almost lose his footing to some unknown source. If Ciel's expression was any indication, it had surprised him. He didn't slip and the wind wasn't particularly strong at that moment. Perhaps it was some force that Frost yet again couldn't fully appreciate since he was virtually immune to the current climate.
Frost would have asked him if he was okay, but Ciel quickly spoke, offering to talk as they go on the issue of magic. He was a polite wolf, and Frost was grateful. It would be perfectly reasonable for company with an aversion to the cold to be bitter by that point. All the wolf did was calmly suggest they keep going. His patience was to be envied. Without further delay, Frost hopped up onto his feet and began walking again.
"I am sorry, for the umpteenth time today." Frost said apologetically, looking back at the purple-pink male as he started noting the more subtle features of Ciel's coat, specifically the pink/orange-tinted spots near his eyes and mane. "I do lament that my seeming immunity to this weather makes me ignorant to your struggle with it."
"At any rate, I am curious about what you have to say. It is...somewhat of an overbearing revelation." Frost explained as he walked. "You must understand...someone who wields magic would be regarded as a gift from the heavens where I come from. Though they also harbored a number of other superstitions..." he sighed, though his mood could hardly be ruined simply by that recollection.
"I could not comfortably ask for a demonstration, though I cannot lie, I am curious." he admitted as he looked back, waiting for Ciel to catch up so that they remained within talking distance.
They were not far from warmer weather, provided Frost didn't delay the journey further.
