Name: Xiuhcoatl
Gender: Female
Race: Wolf(?)
Sub-Race: Unknown
Breed: Unknown
Appearance: Xiuhcoatl appears as a large white wolf roughly four feet tall at the shoulder with a lithe, almost graceful build, and her eyes are a deep blue with flecks of green. Intricate rune-like patterns will sometimes appear on her head, neck, and body, such as when she is using magic. These markings glow greenish-gold, and are not effected by powers or abilities that negate light. Her age is not known, but it is suspected that her healing powers have allowed her to live far longer than nature ever intended, perhaps even escaping the effects of aging altogether.
Personality: While Xiuhcoatl often comes across as arrogant, egotistical, and more than a little vane, this is just a front. Underneath, she is kind and quite caring. She will seldom turn away from others in need, even if she acts put-upon while helping them, and is surprisingly good with pups.
Magic: Light/Heat (Note: Xiuhcoatl is completely immune to light- and heat-related magic, and has a strong resistance to darkness- and cold-related magic.)
Spells: Thermal Beam: A narrow ray of blue-white energy that Xiuhcoatl fires from a ball of plasma held in her jaws, with a range of forty meters. The plasma ball takes a few moments to charge up, and makes a distinctive rising hum as it does so, making it almost impossible to use in a surprise attack. The ray is intensely hot, and can cause severe burns, as well as instantaneously igniting anything flammable that it comes into contact with. Because of this heat, the ray is also capable of melting through metal up to an eighth of an inch thick in just over a minute, although she can not sustain the spell any longer than this.
Hard-Light Field: A barrier of translucent orange light up to three meters across that blocks physical objects. The barrier will also not only block spells, but actually causes them to ricochet, often directly back at the caster. Xiuhcoatl can generate multiple barriers at once, with a maximum of six. It is worth noting that while this is technically a defensive spell, Xiuhcoatl has been known to get rather creative with it
Solar Flare: A devastating short- to mid-range spell, Solar Flare is an omnidirectional pulse of thermal energy and pseudo-physical force with a ten meter radius. The pulse- No, Xi, you can't use that one. It's too powerful for this setting.
Oh, come on!
No. It's bad enough that I let you have Hard-Light Field, what with how inventive you are with it. Using Solar Flare here would be like using a nuke. Serious overkill.
Hrmph. Fine. Spoil-sport.
Light-Bend: Xiuhcoatl can manipulate light at a thought, allowing her to create silent, intangible illusions anywhere within fifty meters of her. She can also use this ability to create light, as well as hide both herself and others from sight, within the same parameters.
Light of Purification: A strong healing spell that can cure both physical and magical ailments of any sort which, when cast, envelops the target in a bright blue-green aura of light. The healing process, however, is excruciatingly painful, as the spell literally burns away any poisons and infections, and any injuries are healed by reconstructing damaged tissue starting with the nervous system. This makes it all but impossible for Xiuhcoatl to heal herself mid-combat, forcing her to disengage and retreat (usually by Blinking) before using the spell.
Blink: This spell allows Xiuhcoatl to teleport, disappearing in a flash of light and reappearing elsewhere with a similar flash. While seemingly instantaneous, transit actually happens at the speed of light, so it is technically possible to outpace her mid-Blink. She can only transport herself in this manner.
Skills:
Lie-Detector: Xiuhcoatl can easily tell if someone is lying, through body language and tone of voice. She must be able to either see or hear the person for this skill to work.
Adaptive: Xiuhcoatl is amazingly creative, and takes great pride in being able to use her spells and surroundings in unexpected and inventive ways to catch her opponents off guard.
Biography: Xiuhcoatl was, until recently, imprisoned in an ancient temple by
No. No, Adurnak, you will not tell them about the events that got me trapped in that temple. Not now, not ever. I don't care what the stupid... thing... says, I am NOT reliving one of the single most humiliating moments of my life just so some [Error] humans can laugh about it! Now get lost, whoever you are who's reading this! My past is my own, and none of your business!
Seriously. Beat it. This interview is over. Scram.
