New RP with New Characters! NEW!

So, as the above heading states... I've been thinking of new RP ideas. Not to say that I'm trying to dodge out of the current RP that I'm in, I just want to get into more things! As well, I am working on a new character, with the inspiration to work on yet ANOTHER new character. I have been struggling with the development of said characters, truth be told, but I am indeed working on them when I have the time.

This post is really a meeting point to discuss potential ideas, link up with new people to RP with (mostly that's what I'm doing with it), and to share ideas with each other to inspire new and more awesome things! YAY!

I've been designing a character by the name of Yuki who is a vampire who appears about 17 but is very old. I've been debating if she should be in the Human/Anthro worlds or the Human Villages of the wolf world. But I want to do a modernish sort of plot with her so probably the former. I want something involving lots of action and stuff XD

Well... if you want action that involves lots of guns, explosions, technology and a really sarcastic guy... Leon is probably the one I'll use if and when I work with you and Yuki haha. Aside from him, I'm working on a character named Athis. He's a "shape-shifter" but not in the traditional sense. Basically, he was forcibly made into the avatar of a powerful Fire Elemental and can alter his appearance. Just like the dancing of a flame, which ever shifts and flexes, so can he with his physical appearance. And... hold onto your seats, he uses... Fire magic. I know... I know. Shocker.

I'm just having a hard time writing things down for him. Like is personality, his history, and other things like that. Dunno... I don't normally RP a character who changes forms, so I'm trying to think of how it would work...

I have my two new chars to throw into something if I don't have a post up on them by the end of the week. (Not likely to happen, driving me crazy!) So I might butt in with those two!

Hmm... meh I dunno. But I like the sound of Athis would he be a part of the wolf world?

Honestly I don't know. I think it would be interesting to bring him there, due to my lack of a character there... but I'm not certain right now. I could always use outside advice on the character, and seeing as I have never made a wolf world character before, I'm not entirely certain on how I would go about his history and the like. In addition, I don't really know how he would fit in within those realms. I was originally thinking he would be part of the Human/Anthro worlds, but having a Wolf world character interests me...

I can understand the struggle with character background given lack of comfortability with that realm. If you need any tips feel free to ask :3 Or perhaps you could even make an entirely different character for the Wolf Realm that knows little about his past or keeps it hidden for some reason and then slowly develop him through actual roleplay O: *has done that a few times <<;;;;*

Anyway... whatever you feel brings out the character best is definitely what you should do XD I'm pretty versatile character-wise so I could pretty much do anything. With Athis, have you come up with a personality in any way for him?

The main way that I envisioned Athis was either one of two ways.

The first was that he is sort of reluctant to let people in. He can be friendly enough on a basic level, even cheery, but he has trust issues. He feels like if people know about what he can do, they'll call him a monster and flee from him. He's got serious worries about being rejected that he struggles to make friends. He's very introverted, but wants to help others, thinking of them instead of himself. Giving in nature, disliking to receive in return. But, he also has an alter-ego, a second personality. If he feels like his life is threatened mortally, or is just feeling overwhelmed by hostility, his other side comes out. This one is a hell bent, full blown psychopath. Pyromaniac, arsonist, butcher, murderer and all around not nice person. Laughs maniacally while billowing streams of pyroclastic napalm, brimstone, and hellfire from his hands. Ignites his body on fire and is wreathed with flames hot enough to cause flash fires.

The second idea I had was a little more straight forward... He's really just a loaner. There's no one who is like him (that he knows of) and he is treated as a freak, an outcast, due to his unique abilities. He prefers his solitude, but can deal with small groups of people, though with distaste. Not overly intellectual, but is smart enough to pick up tricks and tips when and where he can find them. He can hunt and gather for himself, can live out-doors (seeing as he's not always wreathed in flames), and knows how to make his way in a fight. In a fight, additionally, he relies mostly on his "heightened senses" (i.e. Sense of smell, slightly better analytical nature to his sight, and his wolf-like reflexes) and his fire-based abilities. He tries to distance himself from his emotions, but has a constant sense of longing to belong. To have a family again, and to live a somewhat normal life, but knows that that can never happen. He knows that he's too volatile for that kind of thing, and that's really what drives him to be a self-imposed exile.

Dunno... those were just a couple of things that I had thought of as I was at work today haha... Seeing as I just recently... got... home... yeah...
