Random Reader: Really Monkey? Another plot?
Well the short answer is yes, but the long answer is far more complicated >=D The truth is that nearly everything I've been posting has been tied together in some way.
Random Reader: You're just saying that to sound mysterious.
No really! Rel and I have spent hours upon hours brainstorming and discussing something that we have planned >=D Something that it is my hope will prove to be rather exciting and entertaining for us all. I would say about 95% of the plots, characters, and stories I've posted are geared toward this means in some way. Admittedly, at this stage we're talking mostly foreground work, but time will reveal all. =O
Random Reader: Can you tell us more?
Well I could, but instead I'm going to tell you guys about another idea Rel and I have been working on that I'm particularly excited about!
So on to the point of this post (other than to be a tease xP) which is to present an idea to you all, and see how many would be interested in participating. The idea is for another plot, but one the likes of which I have never done before. There will be some loose restrictions and stipulations with this idea, but I'll get more into those here in a moment.
The Idea
This plot will be taking place in the universe of the pack boards, but in the time frame of somewhere around eight to ten thousand years before the current events. There isn't an exact number of years worked out, but I feel that this generalization shouldn't cause any issues. This will be during an age when demons freely roamed the lands, conflicts erupted for possession of lands, and all sorts of other, equally exciting things were taking place. >=D I won't reveal just yet how we will be able to see this glimpse of the past, but I will say that (depending on how this first iteration of the idea goes) this could easily become a recurring thing. ^_^
Random Reader: But if it's so far in the past, how will we use our characters?
Ah I'm glad you asked. The simple answer is you won't unless your character would have been alive during said time. That doesn't mean you will need an ancient character in order to join though. Characters in this plot will not require a profile, but they must adhere to the already established rules of the board (particularly pertaining to the magic restrictions). Originally I was considering having members PM me the magical abilities of their prospective character, but as our family is still relatively small we'll be going with the honor system for this first excursion into the past.
Random Reader: But would I have to roleplay a wolf?
Not at all. The same options for what race your character can be are still on the table. I myself have a demon planned for this particular plot, one which is (usually) a humanoid as well. This demon will be accompanied by his werebear companion, with whom there promises to be a lot of banter. =D Also, seeing as how this plot is taking place so far in the past, it is also entirely possible that your character could be of a now extinct race. =O
Random Reader: So if this is all part of some master plan, does that mean you have the entire plot planned out?
Absolutely not. While I admit that in all my RPs I have ideas of what I want to eventually happen or where events might lead, these ideas are loose and allow for all the usual surprises prone to RP to take place. ^_^ With this plot, for instance, I wish to explore how the two characters I have planned interact among themselves and with everyone else's characters. I also plan to give further hints about the things to come >.> -cough-
