Elements: Electricity, the power to Teleport
-Abilities: Aurek has the ability to teleport at will. This ability is the most familiar to him, although it is difficult. Aurek can be running along and teleport to any location within a 1000 ft radius. Usually, he has to have seen it before so as to be familiar with it to a degree, although very rarely, Aurek will see a place in his imagination or in a dream and sometimes discovers these places are in fact, real. Aurek has the ability to build a 'map' around his opponent to use in battle. This 'map' is only in Aurek's mind and moves with his opponent as his opponent moves in battle. This 'map' is similar to a star map in that it pin-points various locations of impact on his opponent and then has lines connecting the dots. Once Aurek reaches any point on this 'map' he can then teleport to any other point on it. As long as he is on these points, he can teleport more freely than if he were to do so randomly or across long distances. However, this does take up concentration and energy so that Aurek cannot do this for a long period of time. Also, whenever Aurek teleports it leaves a small space of electrical energy. Over time, this will build up if not used sparingly or dealt with properly.
Aurek can combine his two magics to teleport one other to another location for a brief time. In essence, he creates an energy portal which he sustains with his electricity though it gradually grows smaller. The one he sends has a maximum of a few hours to get back before he or she will be stranded wherever they are. Aurek has to remain on one side of the portal to keep it open.
Aurek can also teleport another with him but only if they remain in direct physical contact. This takes an enormous amount of energy for Aurek to do, so he typically sticks to a portal as he can usually only teleport another a maximum of two times and must rest for a couple of days before doing it again.
Aurek can make his entire body electrified meaning that anyone getting close to his body will feel their fur/hair start to rise and if they touch him will feel an electric shock. He can also send orbs of electricity toward an opponent which will shatter on impact and send electricity through their system. The longer these orbs go without impact, the greater their energy increases thus making the electricity flow much more damaging. To avoid these, fake the orbs out so that they will hit a tree, rock, or even the ground instead of you. Aurek can send electricity from his fangs and claws into an opponent so that should he bite or claw open their flesh, the person would feel a shock of electricity at the place of impact.
After a large amount of electricity is used or too much teleportation, Aurek must rest and regain his energy. Also, his attacks can be thwarted. Teleportation is much more difficult when his opponent has psychic and mind abilities so as to either read his mind or have innate senses to his movement. His electricity can be absorbed by earth elements and his electricity will not hurt wolves with the lightning or storm elements.
Amulet: None
Skills: Aurek is not especially strong, though he is swift for a wolf. Having lived with the humans for a time, he is very smart and is also bold, unafraid to speak his mind. This can also be a bad thing. Also, Aurek is very adept at fighting having lots of experience.
Personality: Aurek has the personality of a young man or an older teenager in the sense that he believes himself capable of just about anything. Due to his past, Aurek does have a humble side, although he hides it around those he doesn't get along with. He is rather bold but is adept in fighting and becomes very alert in such situations. Aurek can be friendly and also somewhat flirtatious although he strongly dislikes females who are dominating or controlling. He likes the females who are more relaxed and friendly and want him to be their ladies' man, rather than their play thing or their accompaniment. Overall, Aurek is very spirited and also quite adventurous. He enjoys light-hearted conversation and prefers humor to serious talk. Aurek has grown to care passionately for those within the empire and in particular, his companions within the Vorlfur. Once he learned the feeling of fighting for something, it is what he lives for.
History: Aurek was born in the Shinkou mainlands when the pack was still under that name, and for a time grew with his cousin, Arthos. The two were much like brothers until one day, Aurek was sleeping and when he awoke he found himself in the woods of Orsa Tribus, a land claimed by the Druin Endymion and his companions. There, Aurek was scared out of his wit and ran blindly through trees being chased by unimaginable nightmares. He stumbled out of the forest and came upon a wolfess by the name of Moriâ who scared him further by toying with his young mind. They soon encountered Endymion himself and the great Druin drew away the she-wolf's attention. Aurek soon learned, however, that neither of them were to be trusted. He followed them into the forest where a sequence of events happened and at the end, the wolfess, Moriâ released a strange power which transformed both she and Endymion into human beings.
From there, Aurek followed as they set out on a journey to make them wolf again. Aurek grew older, learning much about his two companions. While they allowed him to tag along, he was not treated well. Eventually, Moriâ became fed up with him one day and in an explosion of anger, she also gave him a human form. Unlike Endymion, however, Moriâ unknowingly used a greater extent of her power which granted Aurek the ability to transform back and forth at will with or without Moriâ there. Endymion was angered at Moriâ for the matter, but Aurek was unsure of how he felt. Finally, he left the two, not really wanting any more hazards and went to a human city. There, he earned a job working at an inn helping a kind old woman named Hollyana. For a time, he was happy there, learning about the humans and also mastering his own personal skills as he grew older.
Eventually, fate would have him cross Endymion and Moriâ's path again. Sure enough, the two came to the city and even happened to reside in the inn where Aurek worked. He and Endymion had a conflict in which Endymion deemed Aurek unworthy of battling him. Soon after the two left town, Aurek wished Hollyana a fairwell and also left, seeking to travel and learn a lot for himself.
One day, he returned to Shinkou by mistake, as a wolf again, of course, and was reunited with his family. There he stayed for a time until he and his cousin overheard a wolf talking of the bounty on Endymion's head. Aurek had conveniently not filled his family in on all the whereabouts of his past. Arthos left in search of Endymion, determined to earn this great bounty thus leaving the family behind. Aurek also left, seeking to continue his travels and learn what he may.
Inevitably, Arthos found Endymion, but the result of the battle was tragic, resulting in Arthos' death. Aurek just so happened to be coming along at that moment and then battled with Endymion, partially for revenge, and partially to prove something. The battle was never finished because Endymion left on a different matter and Aurek went his own way as well. He held a private memorial for his fallen cousin and then returned to Shinkou to report Arthos' death to his family.
Sometime later, while traveling, Aurek heard of Endymion's death and the story of the event. While part of him was glad, part of him felt sad because of his past with Endymion.
When the Demon War struck, Aurek decided to remain in the territories of his birth and put his skills in battle to good use. He helped fight back the demon hoards and when the war was over, felt more of a reason to stay as he had something to fight for. He grew close with Hawke of the original Defenders and saw him as both a father-figure and a close mentor. He looks up to Hawke and has learned much from him which has led to more personal growth than any other time in his past. When the new empire was formed and the Vorlfur gathered, Aurek chose to become one of the soldiers for the group, having no interest in any sort of command positions. He feels his best way of help is to continue to fight for the territory and put his strongest skills to good use.
