Well if the title isn't a dead giveaway, let me start by stating the obvious and tell you all that I have returned. I'd like to formally apologize for my prolonged absence, during which it seems that our cozy little nook of crazy has grown quite quiet (something I hope to help remedy >=D). I know I've been gone for some time, a couple of months, and I feel I owe you all an explanation in the capacity that I am currently capable of.
Originally I was only intending to be absent from here for a couple of weeks, as I started work with a new company. Much like the first day at a new school, those sorts of transitions come with all sorts of difficulties, like finding the right table to sit at during lunch or who the "cool kids" are so you can associate with them. All jokes aside, the change was very welcome for me, and I feel that not only am I in a far better position now, but that I have far less stress to deal with on the day to day (a much welcome change).
You might be asking yourself," But Mokobo, wasn't that well over three months ago?" Well look at you, aren't you such a sharp little Sherlock? ^_^ Yes, I have been at my new job for some time and in truth it is not the real reason I have been gone from here for so long. The truth is that I was privy to a rather unfortunate tragedy, one that -out of respect for the wishes and memory of those involved- I will not be going into public detail about. Those events had placed me in, well, a rather dark place and frame of thought. Despite my generally cheery disposition, I have been prone to such bouts for quite some time, and if I'm to be truthful this was one of the darkest. However, through the help of some dear friends and loved ones and a newfound drive to pursue goals, I have found a rallying light.
That, and well >.> I have a brand spanking new laptop which I got a killer deal on, upon which I writing to you from the cheerful scene of a park basking in Arizona winter warmth! (xP be jealous).
So grab your pie-proof-parkas and rejoice, for the Monkey hath returned!
PS. I would also like to extend an official "open door policy" to all of our present and future members. If anyone is ever in need of someone to speak with, ask advice of, or simply rant to, I am always willing to offer an impartial and private ear (or eye in this case).
