Species Name: Mesgonet
Pronunciation: Mess - go - net
Information: The Mesgonet wolves are known for being strong rather than super fast or flexible. They can work up a good speed when they want to, but their best points reside in their strength and sturdiness.
Eating Habits: Like most wolves, Mesgonets are carnivores feeding on birds, rabbits, and deer.
Living Habits: Mesgonet wolves can be found in a variety of environments able to live most places across the world.
Appearance:
Build: Both males and females tend to have a burly/muscular build though, obviously, males are more bulky. They have long maws set in round heads with rounded ears. They have long necks thick with both muscle and fur. They have not extremely long, though round bodies with somewhat short bushy tails. They have strong shoulders and thighs with sturdy legs and really large paws.
Pelts: All members of the species have pelts that are a mixture of exactly two colors. Both colors sort of intertwine and fade between each other throughout the fur, and usually there is either white or black on the tips of ears and tail. But not always.
Wings: They usually have butterfly wings which are large and opaque.
Eyes: Their eyes always have one eye one of the colors and the other eye the other color, and are always pupiless like those of a horse.
Heights:
- Males usually get to be about 6-7.5'
- Females usually get anywhere from 5-6.5'
- Partial breeds can be varying heights depending on what other species runs through their blood. If bred with smaller species, they will be smaller considerably, usually around 4-5', although if demon-bred or otherwise, they can reach up to 7-8+'.
Weights: Due to the fact they usually have muscular builds, they tend to weigh a lot in both muscle and fur.
- Males tend to weigh around 150 - 300 lb.
- Female tend to weigh around 120 - 250 lb.
May vary according to height.
Breeding: Mesgonet wolves breed as often as normal wolves having young once or twice in a year. They usually have a liter of 2-4 pups and will find a den when ready to give birth.
Mesgonet Wolves May Breed With: Any Canine or Demon
Personalities:
Lifespan: Between 30 and 50 years. They are just as susceptible to disease as any other wolf and usually die from old age.
Note: Lifespan may vary if they are partial breeds. Some demon blood or blood of immortal beings may prolong their aging rate or make them immortal to aging at all.
Magics: They can have any range of magics, from the four main elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, to the many other elements and sub-elements. They can have one or two magics, though usually their magics represent their coat colors. For example, if a wolf has a golden and blue colored pelt, they might have the elements of Light and Air, or only one of the two.
Beliefs: They believe intensely in fate and destiny. They believe things happen as they will and whatever happens is out of their paws. They believe in three great gods that rule over the universe with many spirits and demi-gods beneath them to carry out their commands. They believe that often any of the great gods can come to earth as a wolf spirit or as a vision or dream that can give them instruction about their fate or path to follow.
History: They aren't really sure exactly where they descended from, although they have some beliefs it was from the great gods in some way. They believe their original ancestors were the demi-gods come down in mortal form and breeding with other wolves in the lands. Afterward, the offspring became the first Mesgonet wolves with colors representing the powers of their demi-god parents. Over the years, the Mesgonet wolves went down greatly in population, although some still believe the great gods have plans for their rising futures.
