This thread is an attempt to stream-line the recruitment process of the Vorlfur. In order to learn more about the Vorlfur and the new recruitment process, please visit the "Vorlfur Info" thread linked below. If you desire, you are welcome to RP your character's training here past the required reply. You are also welcome to start your own "training thread" branching off this one if you wish. However, all that is required for your Imus to advance to Unguis is a reply to this never-ending thread. Obviously liquid time will be heavy here, and I suspect it may be a little hectic with parallel interactions. It is my hope that this thread will not only increase Vorlfur recruitment, but as well offer a appeasing spot to look for and start many plots. Also, this idea is a nod to the good ole' days when SO was NWP, a chaotic stream of roleplay on Neopets. ^_^ (Hence my suspicions that it might get a little crazy in here.)

The following is a description of the Ludus to aid those posting their applications to the Vorlfur. Feel free to add your own flourishes to your posts. All I ask is you keep true to what I set forth below.
Laid out before a foothill, upon which the massive sentinel oak which guards the entrance to the Domus sits, is a clearing that spans several acres. A path, worn by the passage of countless wolves weaves its way South from the glorious tree, disappearing among the nearby forest. On either side of this path lies the Ludus, the training grounds of the Vorlfur. Scattered across the meadow are roughly hewed pillars of varying stones, which have sprouted from the ground at odd angles and shapes. The portion of clearing to the East has the nearest border with the encroaching trees, and there is a crude path leading up the mountain to the North. The section opposite, in the West, is larger with a small stream running near its own border.
Under the setting sun in the West lies a scattered array of training areas. The short, thick grass of this area is spotted with wide expanses of fine sand. Some of which surround the aforementioned columns of primal rock. These stone pillars are often worn, cracked or even melted from the strikes they withstand. A few even lie in shattered rubble, which offers perfect material for practicing earth elements. Some of the obelisks holds a few of the magical, everlasting fires which light the Domus, areas for those of a more fiery inclination to hone their art. More of these pillars bear characteristics designed for the different elements. Some are formed in mushroom shapes to always cast shadows, while others sport gaping holes to allow the sunlight to pass through and leave isolated spots on the sand below. Near the edge of the forest a small stream babbles merrily by the training grounds, offering clean refreshment to all. As the stream nears the trees it widens into a small pool. In the center of this pool is the only training obelisk for the water elements, made of a pearly, smooth marble. This pillar has been cleverly designed as a peaceful fountain, the waters bubbling from its top being powered by the mountain stream.
Despite the variety and number of these elemental training areas, they do not represent the entirety of the clearing to the West. Among the patches of sand are other various means to hone different skills. Large logs, worn at either end, are scattered around from being flipped in an exercise to increase back strength. A vague circle worn into the grass marks a track where wolves have exerted their agility in contest and training. Near the northern portion of the stream is a swath of wooden poles, cut from trees of various sizes and age, which offers a particularly challenge to one's dexterity and balance. Among these are other such equipment of training one's body in endurance and capability.
Unguis, Imus, and even Archus are known to desire a more competitive form of training. To the East of the central path lies the area where such desires can be fulfilled, the sparring ground. Like the area to the West, the grass here is again spotted with patches of the same fine sand. The pillars of stone remain outside all but one of the sandy areas, being simply scattered among the surrounding area at odd placements. The exception is one arena which sports a dense cluster of thin, smooth onyx pillars, the tops of which are worn by the paws of sparring wolves. Similar to the training grounds, the scattered obelisks bear a random variety of elements, a few having curved tops to collect rainwater. To the North of this meadow lies the start of a rough trail which winds its way up the Northern slope. This path is fraught with thin paths on steep cliffs and other treacherous obstacles. It is a particular honor among the trainees to reach the end of this trail, which deposits one atop a high cliff ledge with a lovely view of the Imperii below.
Since the Vorlfur are the protectors of the Imperii, all of its members are welcome to visit the Ludus to take advantage of its faculties and seek membership. However, to enter the Domus at the Northern end of the central path one must either be a member of the Vorlfur, a Counselor, or the obvious exception of the Imperii leadership. At all hours of the day one may find a hopeful Imus hard at work, or spot an Unguis practicing a particularly tricky feat under the tutelage of an Archus. Even those who find themselves wrought with strife may hope to find aid among those hard at work in the Ludus. For after all, the Vorlfur are the fang and claw that protect the Imperii.
